On 21st and 22nd of June the "Augsburger SpieleSpieler" (Augsburger GamesGamers) had their annual "Midsummer Night's Convention".

I went there together with one co-supporter (many thanks to Sartokos!) because the Augsburgers had explicitly invited us to see BGFW (!!!).

To make a long story short:
Me and Sartokos had some very interesting games with switching factions every game to test as many armies unusual for us as possible (Satokos is normally a Man of Hawkshold and my favourites are Undead and High Elves).
The "Con" had about 30 visitors per day due to very sunny weather and due to another Con in Ingolstadt (another small city nearby).
BUT: We were the only official game support presentation and we were the absolute center of interest. We had about a fantastillion times more interested gamers than on RPC. About 5 visitors per day were VERY interested (some of them talked me into giving them some promo starters). I'm VERY optimistic about building a solid community in Augsburg. I will go there again soon and prod them a little bit *G*.

We also did some Hill218 demos with my mock-up game and had very good resonance here too.

My experience form this con:
BGFW is not so much a game for tabletopers as one might think (most of them are too much into the modeling and painting thing) but much more for "oldschool" wargamers. They are used to 2D-gamepieces and are much more interested in games with very "deep" strategic possibilities (Hell, one Warhammer-gamer even told me that he didn't like BGFW because of the "too complicated tactics". involved!!!).

Have fun!

Cool, I'm glad you had this experience to balance our RPC.  Thanks again for helping grow the Battleground community in Germany!

Best,
