This page needs to be updated so badly it's not even funny.

It may not be the worst idea to have any non-permanent pieces of the website just send people to the Forums.

A link to the forums would certainly be a good idea, but content like this needs to be updated for casual browsers to know that the game still has a pulse.  It just has to.  Not everybody want's to browse a forum.

I'll put this out there right now for Chad and anybody else involved - I'd be happy to assist with any updating the main YMG site needs.

Bleah.  I've totally let the website slide and it's inexcusable.

Here's the background.  Our website was built by a company who sucks.  Their CMS has become non-functional so we literally can't use it to update the site.  Curufea suggested that we scrap the old site altogether and use a wiki-based system.  This would lose a bit of polish but would allow the community "takeover" to expand into maintaining and improving the site.  The WIP is here:

http://www.yourmovegames.com/wiki/doku.php

What I need to do is get off my @$$ and get the wiki site ready to launch.

Let me know if you need any help.  Also, if you have access to the current site files themselves I can help with updating them for you.  Web work is what I do for a living and I'd be happy to help.

I like the wiki concept!

I like the Wiki concept, too.  A lot of the more interesting pages on this site should be live, with the players who are making changes updating them.  The Events page is just one obvious example -- it would be much better if people who were organizing events could just put the details directly onto the page.

Yeah - the wiki sounds great. Would also be a place for stories and faction articles to grow.

I'm on the seldom-used Battleground yahoogroup, and person after person has been sounding off that they thought the game was dead because of the lack of anything new, and the presence of clearly obsolete information, on the website.  Hopefully this wiki thing will happen in the near future!

All Chad has to do is point me at the access information and I'll be happy to roll with it.

That's all well and good, but apparently I need an account since there is a login.  Once I have that I'll be happy to port stuff over to the Wiki site.  1 concern I have is that we may have multiple folks making edits to the same pages and we may wind up stepping on each other's toes.  An organized effort with some delegation would be best.  You should start a specific Battleground/YMG site migration thread where we can all officially who will be doing what so we can get this thing going.

I nominate Rushass to be the BGFW Wiki Super-Administrator!  Job duties include organizing/delegating all aspects of the BGFW Wiki Site.

 Cool

(Despite my light tone, I'm totally serious.  I think Marcus would do a great job.)
