I think this should go in the General Discussions topic, yes?

It's sad that it came to that, but careers like his rarely end on a happy note.  Being a Packer fan, I felt the same way when Brett Favre retired from the Packers in 2008.  It was pretty gut wrenching to see a player that had been the face of the franchise so long suddenly vanish from the team.  I will say that Manning's press conference was as classy as could be expected from both himself and the organization.  Touching stuff.

So are you in line for an Andrew Luck jersey yet?

In my living room, on bended knee, praying to the Almighty Nuffle that the San Francisco 49ers don't go crazy and drop millions on a guy who may never throw another pass...

Well, the Luck jersey and whomever our starting wide receiver is since I've heard Wayne is bailing as well.

I currently have Harrison (retired), Manning (oof), Freeney, Clark, and Collie.  I'm a pretty easy dude to buy gifts for, so I expect a Mathis and Luck jersey to be gifted to me shortly.  And a Gunner Kiel!!

Feel free to move it wherever, btw, but as far as I'm concerned it can go in EVERY section.

I understand Hannibals thoughts, but, if he is healthy and plays....San Fran would be flat out invincible.

And one bad hit away from having a 60 million dollar clipboard-holder.  I'll take Alex Smith and spend the cash saved on a receiving core that doesn't tip the ball into the defender's hands.

It's the end of an era Sad.

Sorry Indy, I think I'm a Peyton Manning fan more than a Colts fan.
