Rallying a T-Rex

This sort of came up in a game we played last night. A T-Rex is a non-fearless auto-close unit.
Let's say on turn X your T-Rex routs. You spend the required 2-command actions to rally it. 3 questions.
1) Is its orders considered Hold or Close the moment it's rallied. In other words, if on turn X+! (taken by the opponent) an opponent unit final rushes the T-Rex's front, is the T-Rex considered charging?
2) Do the T-Rex's orders change automatically to Close on turn X+2 (= your next turn), or do you have to a command action to do this?
3) Do you have the option to leave your T-Rex on Hold on turn X+2 rather than send it forward?

We always played it that you spend the 2 CA and it goes right back to chomping on the next turn. IMO that's why you spend the 2 CAs because they thing is too stupid to understand "Stop running! Now turn around! WAIT!!!! OK, Go!". It only understans "Stop running!". Maybe there is some sort of discount worked into the points cost for that? Anyways, I'd wait for the ultimate rulling from Chad.

I asked Niko this very question once. He stated that when the T-Rex is rallied its Standing Order is a Close, which was why it cost 2 CAs to rally.

I'd still like official confirmation, but thanks!
The follow-up question is whether wolf packs & bear packs work the same way when no "kin" are present.

I actually wouldn't mind Chad to give a final answer to this either, mine was very much a best guess.

I would hope it is as Niko said simply because it is simpler. You could argue the result all day, hell any of us could, but I always vote for simpler because a more complex determination will often be overlooked or handled wrong or whatever, and everytime you need to back the game up (or feel like you should) just takes away from the overall enjoyment of the game. I know I'm always harping on simplification, which may sound strange to people who know me outside of BG because I'm an incurable rules fiddler, but I really appreciate a clean elegant rule system that feels very real naturally, without turning into ASL or Rolemaster.
