This is a great faction. I think that the one problem I have is that jack-of-all trades is missing. But the calvary is awesome.
That's not a problem, that's a design feature.

When I originally envisioned this faction, it was as a mercenary faction. So it didn't really need a jack of all trades 200 pt swordsman type unit, as much because its okay for a Merc faction to be a little incomplete but also because there Monsters & Mercs faction has a decent Merc swordsmen unit in the Half-Orcs.
The other reason is, as I said, the faction is designed that way. As a stand-alone faction it's meant to not have a 200 pt, jack of all trades unit. A faction's theme comes from its weaknesses as much as it does from its strengths, and one of the themes of the Catalan Company is that they had this asymmetric feel to them. They lacked any solid heavy infantry (or siege experience/equipment, but that's another story), and were literally cobbled together from the mercenaries sitting around in Sicily after the War of the Vespers.
Even the Almughavar unit embodies this idea. Their offensive stats and Courage make them hit like a 300 point unit. But their hit boxes and defensive stats are those of a 180 point unit. Which means they come out to about a 240 point unit. They hit hard and have no staying power, like crack medium infantry should.
Anyway, yeah, I'm more than aware of that situation, but that was intentional. This isn't a conventional force that can put out some jack of all trades units and then have the cavalry and Almughavars work the flanks. They have to hold the line with cheap Greek Spear/Sword (of real dubious quality) or with Mutaner's Garrison (decent Cge but you only can take 2 of them). Their skirmishers also can step in that role to slow down an enemy opposite your junk units.
