I'll be heading out to Kubla in a few weeks.  This will be my second time there, and last year set a pretty high bar with a bunch of new Battleground players, a nice profit even after booth, hotel and airfare and meeting several Battleground fans from the Yahoo Group for the first time in person.

Anyone else planning on being there?

Best,
Chad

I was at KublaCon I talked to you for a while and ended up buying an Undead Starter, a Dwarf Starter and a Terrain Pack. I very much like this game and plan on buying the respective Reinforcement packs for those armies as well as the new Lizard Man faction packs. Smiley

Cool, welcome to the world of Battleground!  Smiley

Kubla was a very solid show.  There was a nice mix of existing players picking up new decks (split about evenly between, "I've got all the in-print decks, give me the Umenzi!" and "I've got 2-4 decks and want to pick up a few more,") and new players.  The new players also seemed about evenly split between "What's this?" and "I've heard good things about Battleground, show me more."

The Terrain Packs and Scenario Books sold well, although of course decks were the main sales item.

It's too bad I didn't have a second person there (or a volunteer!) to do more active demos or win-the-game events, but on balance I think it was probably the right call for me to go alone so Darwin could keep working on High Elves and other assorted goodies.
