Sorry to hear that Moose.  That sure is a bummer.  You will be missed.

Just did another training game with my assistant judge, Rachel, yesterday.

As a reminder, if we have an odd number of people the odd-one-out each round gets a game vs. Rachel (1150 Breaking Point half map).  This game counts toward that person's record every bit as much as a regular game.  And by the way don't be too surprised if you lose.  Her High Elves are downright vicious!  Grin

Man, I was thinking of not playing High Elves, but the shame might be too great if Rachel plays them and I don't...

I will also be a miss. My wife will be in Hong Kong on business, and dragging a 6 year old around to strip joints won't make me father of the year I bet.

Damn,  that sucks.  I was hoping you would come Rob.  Sad  You're always a blast.  Also, I think your Dwarves were on the brink of really bringin' the pain.  Ah well, no Moose, no Rob, what can you do?

Too bad, though not unexpected.  Hopefully next time, Rob!

The hard count remains at 11, which includes everyone online who has said he's coming, plus Seth (whom I spoke with in person yesterday).  Two other folks have said "maybe" (GoIndy & LazyJ), and I get the impression that at least couple of other locals are likely to show up.  So at the moment it's looking like we'll probably slightly exceed last year's turnout.

I'm trying to figure out what the best way to come down here is.  What's the parking situation?  Ideally I'd be able to bring my car, since I'm also planning to visit friends.  Is there someplace I can get free and safe parking for at least the weekend, if not a significant fraction of the week?

Awesome Smiley.

I'll also stay for a few extra days/maybe the entire week, so we can possibly get some more games in.  Niko, how long would I be able to crash at your place?  Otherwise I'll see if I can stay at my friends' place when your place becomes unavailable.
