Well we have about a month and a half to go!  Do we have any events scheduled?  Is Nikko coming for sure?  What's the scoop?

Booked the hotel today and I'm coming up Friday night to get some drinking time in with the Jersey duders.

Ya think we can play some Battlegrounds until they kick us out of Proctors , and then go drink?  God willing, Marcus, Chris and I will be there around 1200 noonish on Friday.   Hope to see you then..... Grin

I have no idea what Proctors is but allow me to say that Fri afternoon BGFW followed by booze with mate sounds awesome.  I am suitably envious.

Proctors is the name of the theatre house that the con is held.  Pretty cool place.  They let you stay kind of late and there is a place for tea, coffee, and other treats downstairs.

Why are you envious?  Are you coming? or not able to make it?

Well, I'm no longer feeling good about being able to make this Sad.  Apparently 1st year econ grad students don't have lots of free time - our homework alone will take at least 40 hours per week.  Add in 16 hours of classes, 10 hours of TA, and studying for exams and suddenly I might not be able to find the time to come down for a weekend.  At this point there's probably only a very very low chance I can make it to Council, despite swearing a blood oath to Dave Sad.  Sorry guys, I'll have to catch you next time (maybe next year, when things die down a bit).

Ah, the school thing. hold to the prize and though you will be missed (I was looking forward to meeting you) we understand.

Yeah man, you could play Kevin and he could try to distract you by teaching you econ! It would be the ultimate multi-tasking gaming experience! Wink

I'm envious that I can't come.  Or go to something similar.  I'm a card-toting Imperial Overlord from the Motherland and alas can't make cheeky trips to the colonies for some BGFW.  As much as I'd love to...

I'm certainly planning to come - been absurdly busy lately so I haven't had as much time for forums-ing as I'd like, but I have time blocked off for Councl as usual Smiley

Made my hotel reservation the other day.  As usual, my work schedule gets me in too late for Friday stuff, but I'll be there all day Saturday & Sunday.  Ron and Jaime will be there as well!  (Ron and I are carpooling, so he's also unavailable until Saturday.  Jaime is the same.)

See you all in 5 weeks!  Smiley

That's up to Niko.  I believe he hasn't announced anything yet.  One question is whether Niko is able to run a tournament and a demo booth at the same time.

Speaking selfishly for a moment, I'd love to see two full days (Saturday & Sunday) of Battleground tournament(s).  Smiley   Either one big one or two smaller ones. (Two smaller ones may work better in a setting where some people want to do other stuff.)
