The Kingdoms deck is great for generating a variety of battles with different conditions, yet maintaining a level playing field. However, in the real world of Battleground:Kingdoms, it is rarely a fair fight. Rather than each player have the same special condition, if a special condition is generated that is NOT Muddy field, Night Action, or Stormy Weather each player rolls a die and applies the results below to his own faction only.
1. Oppressive Heat  now called Fatigued: Instead of high temperatures your troops have just marched a long distance and have had no water or potty breaks.

2. Assassin's War now called: Prepared battlefield: You have managed to maneuver your opponent onto a battlefield that you have prepared with booby traps, unfriendly locals, and bad clams. Anything you can imagine that might cause discomfiture to your enemy.

3. Fresh Troops

4. Bloodlust

5. Veteran Troops

6. Well Prepared

Obviously, having a fatigued army is a disadvantage, and depending on your faction and the scenario the others may be more or less advantageous. Obviously, this is not for tournaments or bad sports, but it does make for some interesting (and if not interesting, certainly fun) battles.

Plenty of troops have had to fight fatigued. YUes, if you are fatigued and your opponent is Freash it could be very cruel. If you've played a lot, the contrast is interesting. Playing with this variant pretty much throws out any guarantee of balanced or fair.
