Well, I'll be there. Now I'll know if you really care or not. If something is important enough there is always a way. Wink Cheesy Grin

I have booked my flight and made me hotel reservations. I will be there! Now the tricky part is that I get in at 10:00 Wednesday night. I'll have to see what train/travel options are available at ten at night Tongue I fear commuter travel may not be available.

It seems I either have a two hour wait to get a train to mansfield, getting to the station at 12:39 AM or I can get to Stoughton an hour earlier, but I don't know how big a deal it is to get from Stoughton to Mansfield. Any help or words of advice?

It's quite far, as Mapquest indicates, better to take the train to Mansfield.

The good news is that South Station is in downtown Boston, so you can always be a tourist for an hour or two.

The tricky part is I get in at 10:02 PM wednesday night and the train leaves South Station at 10:20 which I won't make, and the next one is 1 1/2 hours later (commuter transport is not as convenient at the wee hours). I'll only have one suitcase, but it will still be bothersome to wander around for for 90 minutes...But hey, I'm not complaining, I didn't play D&D all those years without learning a thing or two about weathering out inconvenient travel arrangements. Wink

My friend is going to see if he can give me a ride, the issue being his wife works that night and they one car and a small child. Tongue

My feelings on tired and ornery childeren is that I'd rather wander downtown Boston after midnight. Tongue

I'm also right on the red line (subway) and could probably arrange a couch to crash on, if you'd rather wait to head in the next day or something.

Thanks Niko! If my friend can't range for something I may take you up on that as it would also save me $89 for the night in the hotel and seeing as I would be in bed hopefully by two and up early, that's alot of money per hour...of course, I'll lose the continental breakfast. Wink

Due to a recent change in my employment situation there's a good chance that I'll be able to come to TotalCon for at least a day.  I'll finally be able to get in some Battleground games against the folks who are probably better at it by now than I am.  (Thankfully I can still resort to arbitrary rules advantage...)
