The present info on the Feud card lacks some specifics for particular situations, in point concerning Flying units chosen as a feud unit.

Recent circumstance of Kingdoms Campaign created a base 2500 pt Ancient Feud on map 6F between Lizardmen and High Elves, defending.

The HE player had been wanting greatly to use a large Red Dragon (691pt). He wanted some 'experience'; good idea. With Ancient Feud against an experienced Lizard player - you better have a really good plan.
At set up, considering a number of campaign circumstances, 7 foresight and some other because of having 'Tactician', I thought he might just pull it off.

Addendum: Flying units chosen as a feud unit are not required to fly. The owning player may choose to do so but must comply with the scenario requirements and regular rules.

Clarification: Non modified "C" standing order execution (see Airborne rules) require Flying unit to 'Land' on the "Facing side" as of start of turn; and by consequence a "C" with unit objective would be treated the same way.
Due to other units placement and spacing, if this action places the flying unit such that any other unit is between the feud units preventing a 'final rush' on the following turn, then the Flying unit will proceed the shortest distance to another location that upon landing it will have a clear path to the feud unit.

Reason: Normal movement execution and resolution would have the Flying unit landing with other units in the way when forced to comply with the "Facing side" as of start of turn parameter.
This would not be reasonable to a feud unit that is seeking to 'get at' the other feud unit. It would fly to a place with the quickest open path to the feud.

*Additional: Just in case other other Feud unit is surrounded by other units, it would be problematic to have the Flying unit choose the landing spot in view of acquiring the 'quickest path' to engagement.
This should be rather obvious if it was merely friendly unit manipulation, though not absolute (due to the Feud unit moving first). It would rather be more in accordance with the flow of battle to seek out the 'weakest' enemy unit to battle through to achieve the goal of Feud engagement.
