2 questions about "Crossing the Rhone" (PW scenario booklet p. 22.)

- Looking at the map (p. 22), it looks like a forest in the middle and a 2-tiered hill on the right, but what's the small terrain piece on the left?  Is it low brush, rough ground, or something else?

- The scenario states (p. 25) that "Rome takes the first turn with 2 command actions."  Did PW eliminate "The stupid turn" (No movement, no command actions) at the beginning of the game, or is "the stupid turn" still around?  In other words, do the Romans get to move on that first turn or does it start during their combat phase?

Jaime and I will be playing the first PW scenario "Crossing the Rhone" Tuesday evening; would love to get answers before then.

It's rough ground.

Heh.  The "stupid turn" is still there, but if neither player has spellcasters or elite ranged units it's essentially a blank.  Since no such units exist in either PW army, that turn doesn't really exist for them.  To keep things simple, the scenarios treat the first "real" turn as the first turn.

Thanks!  Smiley

I'll be sure to post a report.  Speaking as Carthaginian general Kevannibal, it looks winnable, but I'd rather be the Romans who start with 11 non-skirmishers to my 5.   Undecided
