Well we have 2000 pt army lists and 3000 pt army lists - so here is a 1500 pt army list. The 1500 pt Quick Start lists are all fine for having a selection of units to try - but when I demo the game and do a mini-tournament I try for a three round tournament. Everyone chooses one of the Quick Starts in the first game, the other Quick Start in the next game, but the final game is design your own. The lists can cover both Starter and Reinforcement decks since I have one of each of all of the factions for people to try.

A start:

1500 point Lizardmen Army:

4 x Trog Warriors (218) = 872
2 x Swarmling Warriors (141) = 282
1 x Triceratops Herd (322) = 322

Total = 1,476

The Swarmlings are on the flanks and hold back as partial reserve. The Trog Warriors flank the Triceratops Herd and smack into the opponents center. The Swarmlings can then help flank (if possible) or avoid the Trogs from being flanked. Although the army is somewhat vulnerable to ranged attacks (the Triceratops Herd is a natural missle magnet), the Herd can probably absorb the damage (with that 1/4 defense) and then hit really hard. The Trog Warriors are pretty typical infantry units and can hold their own there.

A 1500 point build for Monsters & Mercenaries:

3 x Wildmen Sword (142) = 426
1 x Wildmen Archers (158) = 158
1 x Ancient Red Dragon (900) = 900

Total = 1,484

I think the Ancient Red Dragon just about explains everything there is to explain about this build. The Wildmen Swords are to make sure you have the required Core units and the Wildmen Archers are there to pick up the left over points. The Wildmen are only there to try and protect the Dragon from being totally left alone against the world.

Dwarven Balls

3 X Axemen
2 X Battleaxemen
1 X Hammersmen
1 X command card
1499 points

No funny stuff or missile fire, just a straight up 6 unit line consisting of tough infantry.  First order of business is Rune of Uruz on the Battlaxemen.  They are where your primary damage will come from against tougher units.  Also save most of your defensive command cards for them as the combination of damage potential and 1/3 defense makes them an obvious target for opposing missile fire.  Don't use this list against High Elves or you will get murdilized.

Green Tide

4 X Crazed Goblins
3 X Goblin Wolf Riders
2 X Goblin Spearmen
1 X Goblin Raiders
1 X Goblin Bowmen
1494 points

Who said that only Umenzi could have more than 10 guys on the board for 1500 points?  Tons of little green guys running around, most of them at high speed.  Put the Crazies on the outside and lash the other line units as needed.  This is obviously a pinch happy build.  If you want a command card, downgrade the spearmen to Goblin Raiders.  I have not played this, but it's a safe bet that it will make for a super-fast game one way or the other.  1 drawback is that this army is about as brave as the French.

Ravenwood guys was made for a 1500 build almost to perfection.

3 x Swordsmen
2 x Stag Cavalry
1 x Bowmaster
1498 points
Be sure to make your swordsmen line long enough to avoid pinch, Bowmasters will soften up the path to your Stags bring havoc to the enemies.

1459 points.


even have room for one card draw also.
