Nicely done, I am envious and I am just beginning to get into this game.  Would you be willing to get me the file used to print that?  I am thinking of having Kinko print if on banner material, you can fold/roll that stuff up very easily.  Thanks.

Actually I didn't save the file, but you find the A4 pdf file here http://www.3d-digital-wasteland.com/bgfw/index.html
There is also some errors in my stitching where you can see just half a stone etc.
Maybe Chad and his friends can upload a file in the format 30"x36"?

I've been thinking of doing this but on laminated paper so I can write on it.

Nice!  As for myself, I use a felt map, and Mike (Gull2112) made me some felt-backed card holders, which prevents all card slippage.  You can see them in my game reports.

Nicely done!  One of the biggest problems with the felt map is it warps over time.  Looks like your map will keep its shape.

I really like the way felt keeps it shape once it has been glued to foam-core, but that makes it harder to transport.

Yes, it was such a pain in the ass I gave it to Kevin rather than schlepp it back to Minnesota, and that was one that folded up in cuarto. Grin

I want to give a nod to hloko for making a great playing surface! (Nod) It is nice to know there are others who value high quality components. Actually, plenty of people value them, but few actually make them.

My latest ideas run in two directions. First, I want to make a board on 1/8" foam core and see if it is just as good and even more portable than 1/4". I'm thinking it will bow. Cry Second, I'm going to look into making a masonite board (got the idea while handling a masonite clip board today). It would be heavier (sturdier and stabler) than foam core, yet at 1/8" thickness, quite compact. Does anyone have any other board material Ideas?

The advantage with the Banner texture I did use, is that its so "heavy" and still its soft (there is little tension in it) therefore it will always lay flat  Shocked
I use this "cardboard tube" that I have for transport, the disadvantage is of coarse that it is 30 inch long Sad
