We just played our first game with flying units and they seem unclear to me on the point of movement over/under enemy units.

It says the flying unit can pass over enemy units when airborne, but can enemy units move under the airborne unit on their turn?

For example, I have a unit of spearman on C1, with 1 being an enemy infantry unit across the board.  Now airborne drake riders move in front of my spearman on their way to a distant objective of their own.  Do the spearman try to move around the drake riders to reach their objective, or pass right underneath them?

Thanks for the help.

I can see where your confusion arises from - there is nothing explicit in the rules to cover this.  That said, I think common sense dictates that if the unit is flying and can move over other units they in turn can move under.  That is certainly the way I have always played.

That's what we ruled last night, but some official clarification would certainly be nice.  I'm surprised it hasn't been clarified already.  It was the first thing to come up in our game.  Thanks.

Thanks a bunch Niko.  I know it seemed obvious, but after 20 years of gaming, I've learned to take no rules for granted.  Grin

No worrries, a good question and worth clarifying in the next rulebook.  There are no bad questions, only bad rules documentation Wink
