This is the sort of thing that happens when you don't store your game stuff in your den. All I have to go on is my vaguest recollections, and when you are a person with a severe brain injury (even if it was in 1989) it becomes quite vague. I almost added that trolls get a double word score, but I caught that one.

Ogre's are "Stupid", thus Trolls R smarter because they Regenerate.

Well, if we step back into the nineteenth century, a horse was called smart if it was very obediant*. Since Trolls are easier to control then they are smarter, in a hobbyhorsical** sense.
